It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 4th Yonsei-Tokyo Joint Symposium on Physics, to be held at Yonsei University on Feb. 17-18, 2012. The purpose of this symposium is to provide forums to present the latest research results and exchange up-to-date information on frontier physics research activities between the University of Tokyo and Yonsei University, along with the goal of providing opportunities for the next generation of physicists to meet each other, exchange their creative ideas, and facilitate networking.
This occasion marks the 4th annual joint symposium between two departments. The 1st symposium was held at University of Tokyo on Aug. 31, 2007, the 2nd and the 3rd at Yonsei University on Oct. 30, 2008 and Feb. 12, 2010, with the topics alternating between those of the condensed matter physics and the particle and nuclear physics areas, by bringing in leading experts in each field. This year's symposium focuses on the latest topics in nuclear and particle physics, and includes even speakers from China and USA. We would like to thank the coordinators of this symposium, Prof. Tetsuo Hatsuda (Tokyo) and Prof. Su Houng Lee (Yonsei), who have dedicated their time and effort to make this workshop possible.
We would very much appreciate your active participation, and welcome you to the 4th Yonsei-Tokyo Joint Symposium on Physics.
With warmest regards,
Institute of Physics and Applied Physics
